End to humiliation, harassment, racial profiling and disrespectful treatment of Indian nationals by immigration, customs and law enfocement bodies of all countries. Ending racial profiling and demeaning treatment is a matter of alert activism. National laws of almost all countries and international treaties already have the necessary provisions that protect the dignity of travelers and migrants. If such laws are not observed in letter and spirit and Indians are mistreate, racially profiled, segregated because of their nationality or colour, harassed or denied entry despite meeting all lawful requirements, we challenge the actions of individuals or state bodies in their own constitutional courts and in international courts of justice. These laws and rules are often unenforced because Indians do not take up the incidents, do not complain and do not make a community effort. We know that when the matters have been brought to attention of prosecutors & leaders of respective countries a dramatic decrease has been observed. We intend to register every such reported violation of decent and lawful conduct and take it up under the law. We believe no violation of basic rights and dignities should go unquestioned. And in questioning we will find prompt answers and solutions. We demand that all individuals be treated with dignity and respect at borders and accorded their rights as per the constitutional and international treaty obligations of the country they enter. |
