Canadian Discrimination

Last month I traveled from United States to London on a Indian passport by Air Canada. My flight ticket was New York- Montreal-London-Montreal-New York.All went well from New York to London via Montreal.When I arrived to check in at London to go back to New York ( I have US Visa valid for 10 years ) the airline asked me for Canadian Visa. I told that I just came via Canada and am going back via Canada and no one asked me for a Visa when I bought ticket.The airline refused to take me, bumped me off the flight and did not give me any refund. What kind of nonsense racism is this?? Where is our Indian government and its relations in commonwealth with Canada? How such racist policies can be allowed that Indians cannot take a flight to US from London but can take a flight to London from the US? Should Canadian airline not return my money and give me apology?
